MDPI Singapore had the great pleasure of conducting a series of scholar visits across Perth, Western Australia. These meaningful engagements were part of our continued commitment to building stronger academic partnerships, better understanding regional research landscapes, and advancing the mission of open access publishing.
Throughout the week, our team had the opportunity to meet with a diverse group of leading scholars and researchers from prominent institutions across Perth. We are sincerely grateful to all who welcomed us so warmly and generously shared their time and insights.
Each meeting provided invaluable feedback on editorial experiences, peer review processes, and the unique expectations of researchers within various disciplines. Discussions also touched on strategic journal development, collaborative opportunities for Special Issues, editorial board activities, and how MDPI can better support institutional goals and emerging research themes. These conversations reinforced our belief in the importance of sustained, two-way dialogue between publishers and the academic community.
We would especially like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the scholars and researchers we met, including Prof. Mohamed Shahin, Prof. Phillip Della AM, Prof. Arcady Dyskin, Prof. Elena Pasternak, Prof. Colin Binns, Prof. Dale Chapman, Prof. Yinglong Chen, Prof. Stephen Houghton and Prof. Ranjan Sarukkalige, for their generous hospitality and thoughtful engagement.
At MDPI, we remain dedicated to fostering open, inclusive, and high-quality scholarly communication. These visits are a reflection of our belief that strong partnerships with scholars are essential to driving innovation in academic publishing.
We look forward to nurturing these connections and to future collaborations that further our shared goal of advancing knowledge, supporting researchers, and amplifying the impact of science globally.
